Pre-launch testing
AI beta testing before your customers meet it
Your AI is built and almost ready. Before it goes live, real people test it by playing your customers: they chat with it, call it or text it, push on the areas you worry about, and report exactly what it did.
Usually a fit
Custom Panels
Quoted
Larger or more specific panels for launches, languages and accessibility.
- Larger panels, from 15 to 50+ testers
- Specific personas you define: age groups, accents, first-time users, frustrated repeat callers
- Pre-launch panels for an AI that is not live yet
- Multilingual and accessibility panels
AI beta testing usually means the people who built the assistant trying it out, plus a round of scripted checks. That is a useful start, but the team that wrote the prompts knows what the AI expects to hear. Real customers do not. They misspell things, change their minds halfway through a request, ask two questions at once and get impatient when they have to repeat themselves.
A pre-launch panel closes that gap. We recruit real testers who have never seen your AI, give each one a customer persona and a scenario built around your concerns, and let them use it the way your customers will. Every session is scored on the same fixed rubric, with a written reason from the tester for each score.
The point is to see the launch from the customer's side while there is still time to act on it. You get transcripts or recordings, scores and a one-page verdict you can hand to whoever builds and maintains your AI. We do not change anything in your system and we never sell the fix, so the verdict has no reason to be anything other than what testers saw.
Because the rubric stays fixed, the same panel design can be rerun after launch or after your team makes changes, so a pre-launch test becomes the baseline every later test is compared against.
Signals
When it is time
If any of these sound familiar, a panel will tell you what you need to know.
A launch date is on the calendar
The AI works in internal demos and the go-live date is set, but nobody outside the project has used it as a customer would.
Internal testing has run out of surprises
Your team keeps getting the answers they expect. That usually means they are asking the questions the AI was designed for.
The AI will handle money, bookings or accounts
Refunds, cancellations, appointments and account changes are where a wrong answer costs real money or trust, so they deserve human eyes first.
You are replacing a human channel
If customers currently reach a person, a pre-launch panel shows how they are likely to react when an AI answers instead.
Leadership wants an outside view
A neutral panel with a published rubric gives decision makers something more concrete than a vendor demo or an internal thumbs up.
How the panel is set up
How it works for this use case
The panel is built around this moment, step by step.
- Step 1
Scope the launch
You tell us what the AI is meant to do, which channels it will run on and which situations worry you most. We need access to a staging or preview version you own or are authorized to test.
- Step 2
Sign the authorization
You sign a written authorization for the system under test. Every tester is under a consent and confidentiality contract, which matters when the product is not public yet.
- Step 3
Build personas around your concerns
We write customer personas and scenarios that cover the common requests and the awkward ones: angry customers, confused first-timers, edge cases and people who ask for a human.
- Step 4
Run the panel
Testers use the AI as customers would and log what happened after every session, scoring each one on the fixed rubric with a written reason.
- Step 5
Deliver the verdict
You receive every transcript or recording, rubric scores per session and a one-page verdict: keep it, fix these settings, or reconsider it.
Deliverables
What you receive
Everything you need to decide what happens next.
- Every transcript or call recording from the panel
- Rubric scores for each session, each with the tester's written reason
- A one-page verdict: keep it, fix these settings, or reconsider it
- A list of the specific behaviors testers saw fail, in plain language your builders can act on
- A baseline score you can compare against after launch
We only diagnose. What you do with the findings, and who does it, stays entirely your call.
Questions
Common questions
Quick answers before you request a test.
Can you test an AI that is not public yet?
Yes. You give the panel access to a staging, preview or limited release version that you own or are authorized to test. Testers are under confidentiality contracts, so an unreleased product stays private.
How is this different from our own QA?
Your QA checks that the AI does what it was built to do. A human panel checks what happens when people who have never seen it try to get something done, including the ways they phrase things badly or lose patience.
Will you tell us how to fix what testers find?
The verdict names what testers saw fail and where, clearly enough for your team or vendor to investigate. We do not change your system or sell the fix, which keeps the verdict neutral.
